Membership Requirements:

Each member (a family constitutes a member and is defined as all members of the immediate family and relatives residing in one household with this residence as their permanent legal address) must purchase one (1) bond of the Green-Fields Swimming Club for $450.

Application Process:

A non-refundable Application Fee of $26.66 is required ($25.00 plus $1.66 NJ Sales Tax).

You can complete your application and make payments using ONE of the options below:

Online Option: Complete the online form and make the payment directly on our website.
Mail Option: Print the PDF application form provided below, and mail it with a check for the application fee to:

In-Person Option: During the summer season, you may drop off the printed application and check at the club. Please give it to the checker on duty.

Membership Acceptance:

If your application is accepted, you will be notified by letter or email from a member of the Membership Committee.
Upon acceptance, you will be required to pay a non-refundable Initiation Fee of $53.31 ($50.00 plus $3.31 NJ Sales Tax).

Membership Bond:

The Membership Fee (Bond) of $450.00 will be payable when a membership vacancy is available. Typically, this will be communicated in the acceptance letter, which will include both the initiation and bond fees.

Annual Dues:

When offered membership, you will also need to pay the annual dues, which consist of three parts (2024 costs shown):

Fixed Dues: $350.00*
Per Person Dues
- General: $130.00* per person
- Seniors (62 years of age as of April 1st of the current season): $65.00* per person
- Infants (children under 2 as of April 1st of the current season): Free

Capital Expense Fee: $175.00

*Note: Dues are subject to NJ sales tax. The amounts shown exclude applicable taxes.

Bond Redemption:

Bonds of the Green-Fields Swimming Club are non-transferable and can only be redeemed by the Club.
Refunds for bond redemption will be made to a withdrawing member when a replacement member is available, membership is at 400 families, and the original paper bond is returned.
If the paper bond or a statement indicating it has been lost is not provided with the resignation request, the refund will be delayed.
Resignations must be submitted in writing, including a resignation request form and the paper bond. If you are moving out of the area, please include a forwarding address.

What is a Bond Holder?

A bondholder holds ownership in the pool. This should be viewed as a long-term commitment. Bond purchase is a one-time cost of $450. Since you are buying ownership in the pool, you’re committing to a renewal of your annual membership.

When must I pay my membership dues?

Annual membership dues must be paid by May 1st. Any bondholder’s dues and assessments not paid by, or postmarked by May 1st, will be subject to a late fee.

Do I still have to pay if I don’t use the facility?

Dues and assessments must be paid whether the facility is used or not. Back dues and assessments are required before a membership can be renewed. After two consecutive seasons of unpaid dues, your bond will be revoked and no repayment will be made.

Can I freeze my membership?

Yes, you can freeze your membership for one year by paying the capital assessment fee. If you remain inactive for two years, you will need to pay the capital assessment fee for the previous period. If we do not hear from you within two years, your bond will be forfeited and not refunded. Utilizing the freeze option can only be done once.

What if I want to bring a guest?

Guest passes are available to members. Please see the Pool Rules section of the website for full details about guest passes and privileges.

Can I reserve the pool for a private party?

Yes! You can complete the online form or stop by the front desk to speak to a manager on duty to complete the party request form. All parties require approval. More information can be found on the facility-rental section of the website.

What are the rules for resignation?

We regret to see members leave the club, but if you need to resign your bond, please submit a written request along with the completed Bond Resignation form, available in the GFSC Forms section of our website. The club will repurchase the bonds from shareholders who properly resign, doing so in the order the resignation requests are received. However, the club will only purchase the bonds once an approved new member has paid the club in full for the share.

Please note that the current wait time for bond repurchase is approximately 4-5 years, as there must be a new member to buy your bond before you receive your funds.
